You created your Facebook timeline, Twitter timeline, Intagram profile and Tumblr page. You didn’t create reality.
In Facebook, you post photos that you want people to see, hide whatever activity you have done, control privacy settings and choose the people you want to interact with. Similarly, you can do so on Twitter or any other social media. However, in reality, people are going to see who you really are and remember all of your past activities. You can never control whom you are meeting nor limit people from interfering in your life.
Yet this doesn’t completely distinct social media from reality. Social media has had its impact on reality and influences it daily; people are trying to change their lifestyle to stay on cyber trend, but that doesn’t imply that there is complete integration between the two, for how many times were we surprised to meet those with dual personalities?
